Anyone ever heard of this place? I might try talking my dad into buying one, their .380 Comp with laser with runs $190. I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone knows anything about quality, or if the price is only a mask for the bottles of pain-releaver I'll be buying for my headaches.

I don't really need a "tack driver" but I'd like something I can go blow some ammo with, and if I find I'm any good shoot some competition.

Plus it would make for ALOT nicer of a "2nd-shot" while hunting than a 10lb rifle.

Thanks,
Josh

I can honestly say I have only ever heard bad things.

And anyway, I mean, look at them! The guns in Doom 3 are more realistic!
Never- ever heard of them. I'll stick with my brand new 220 langdon.

Keep us updated.

What bad things have you heard? There testimonials are filled with nothing but good comments, and lots of grammatical errors.

I've heard some good things about them, there was review in a recent issue of Guns & Weapons For Law Enforcement on one of there rifles (cant remember which one) and they said it was decent for home protection and such.
the rifle was their 9mm carbine... and yes i own one.
ive never had it jam when it was clean, and at 80meters we were hitting golf balls with the standard iron sights.

How often did you have to clean it to maintain performance and reliability?

about once every 400-500 rounds.

yeah i agree their pistols are ****.... but anyone whos shot their carbines cant argue with the groups it puts down.
I've shot a Hi- point .380, and it was a piece. At 25 yards it MIGHT get most of the lead you discharge into a foot and a half circle. It wasn't me, either, cause with Dad's accurized 1911 gov't model, I could keep most 5 shot groups under 2".

Multiple jams also.

yea sometimes you just know its not you its a POS weapon your using
sounds like junk
Of course, it was my cousin's pistol, and he being a montana boy and all, I can't vouch for how well maintained it was. :p

Just kiddin', Mel, I was born in Helena.
hey man i have a 380 acp high point. gave 50 bucks for it at a party and it wasnt hot. i love it. havnt had any problems or anything. i would say buy it. i can drive tacks and 25 yrds so i was impressed and they make really good "2nd shot guns" ive used mine already just for that. for the price thier worth their weight in gold.

good luck

tricky
i really wanna see photos of tacks driven with a hi point pistol.
I think he used the butt of it to hammer them in.

Hi Point pistols are pieces of clinton.

I have a much better idea. If you want a quality pistol at a low price, why don't you get hold of a copy of the Shotgun News? You will find lots of police turn in guns for sale. For under 200 bucks you should be able to find an used S&W police revolver.

And of course there are also used military pistols for sale. For under 200 bucks you can get a surplus Makharov.

Mad
no offense spade but everything is impossible to you. why is tac driving at 25 yards seem impossible. be more posative. i cant afford a digital camera and stuff but when i get one ill prove it to ya. sorry man but not everything is impossible.
He was commenting on the quality of Hi Point firearms, not on your shooting.
