I bought that series about year ago on dvd for about $50. It's definitely worth one's money. I watch it over and over and over......the series is made of 4 parts: marine scout snipers, international snipers, army snipers and law enforcement snipers. By the way the lady soviet sniper is Lyudmila Pavlichenko with 309 kills. I'd definitely suggest any sniper fan out there to get it.

Yeah, that reminds of the episode that the history channel did about Carlos Hathcock about 5 years ago (suicide missions, I think it was called). Anyway, they said he had 99 confirmed. I had countless numbers of emails from people yelling at me because my number (93) was wrong on the site.... yeah, its the History Channel, but that doesn't mean they are always right.

Carlos's spotter... i forget his name... made a book called "Unconfirmed Kills" or somthing to that affect. Its all about how Carlos actually had over 260 unconfirmed kills majoring around the Hill 55 area. I read it back in the early 90's in middle school. I dont know where the book is now and i cant seem to find it on the internet anywhere. But i remember the numbers... 93 confirmed... 263 unconfirmed. :)

well we know it wasnt his first spotter john burke becasue he was KIA shortly after carlos left his first tour in Vietnam. killed in a herioc action to save his hole platoon and he only gets a silver star. no medal of honor for that marine either. and he saved his platoon by running after the enemy with a nM-16 and a few hand grenades. against alot of VC with AK's and RPG's. But i cant remember his staff sargeant best friend spotter in his second tour. all i can remember is that he was an armorer and carlos called him MACK. Unless it was E.J. Land those are the only three that knew him well enough to write anything about him. and like i said th first is dead so i know it wasnt him.
