Hollow point or Soft tip?

Whats the difference?

Is one better then the other?

I have both rounds (windchester 55gr hollow point and Hornady soft tip 55gr) Iam going hunting this weekend but would like to know if one is better then the other.

If you are talking hollow point (and not hollow tip) then it is a bullet that has a hollow point on it which is designed to help expansion. A soft tip is just an exposed tip of lead, which also expands better then full metal jacket or hollow TIP. Hollow point (in theory) will expand better than soft point given the same situation.
