Hey guys, I recently traded rifles with my brother in law and in doing so received a new scope. As I am currently looking to order a new rail mount and scope rings and I am not sure as to what size my rings should be. Wondering how i can measure the diameter of the scope?
The scope is a Bushnell 3x9x_____?

Any Help is much appreciated. Thanks.

How do I determine the size of my scope rings?

measure how thick the tube is. A ruler will work.. if it is bigger than 1" it is a 30mm scope.. But being a bushnell 3x9, it is probly 1" .

Just to clarify the above. The ring size won't give you the objective size to finish your question there...but really that doesn't matter to mount it other than the height of the rings. It is probably the 1" ...like others said just throw a tape measure across it and see if its 1" diameter. Calipers work better but not everyone has them. So a tape does ok.
