I’m planning to buy a rifle case it measures 44.0 inches on the inside, my rifle measures 43.5. My question is if I purchase the case will it fit properly or it will be to close to the corners, it will only have 1/4 inch space.

1/4” is not enough extra space to fully protect your rifle.

If you use the foam that comes with the case, you need 1” minimum around the edges.

If you order high density closed cell foam you can go down to 1/2” if necessary, but it is still not ideal.

There’s the iM3300 Storm Long Case that measures L-50.50 inside. Since my rifle measures 43.50 I’ll have 7 inches, thats 3.50 on each edge. Bad thing about it I already purchased the iM3220. I plan to use it as a case to store my rifle and nothing extreme. I’ll post some pics when it arrives and do the cutoff. Thanks for your reply.

These cases are not ideal for storing rifles as they are lined with foam which will hold moisture against the gun.
