Its based of a ruger 10/22 action and it looks suprisingly similar to a very fine rifle from the past. And lets be honest, its about as close as any of us are going to get to one of these WA 2000's

Now if i could only find a grand lying around.

interesting

yea probably the closest anyone will get to a WA2000 since only a handful of people own one and lets face it they wont sell em and when they do they charge $30,000 to $40,000
that exceeds my anual ammo/guns budget

I know that a bunch (most) of ya'll like the WA2000's, but (I may regret this later) I really don't like these rifles. I guess that I like the traditional rifles better. I would still like to shoot one though!!

And such has been the argument for a long time.... most people think that the AUG is ugly too. In fact it very much is. Almost all bullpups are ugly as sin in my opinion. The fact remains though that inherent to their design, they are some of the most pointable rifles in existance. Function very much wins out over form.

I think the conversion is neat, but I realistically would never buy it because Im fine, however if I had a 1022, i would just place a bulter creek stock and ss fluted barrel.

On the subject of the AUG, got to see a civilian version at a gun smith at it was a pretty comfortable.
