I'm looking into purchasing my first rifle. I'm a left-handed shooter, therefore, I'm in need of some advise. I'm looking at getting a Remington rifle. Preferably the 700P in .308, but I'm not sure if the rifle is available for left-handed folks. If not, which LH rifle (in .308) compares to the Remington 700P? I'm aware that Remington makes the 700VS in left hand, but is it as good as the 700P? What are the differences when you compare both?

Thanks

you dont need to post this in 2 forums
i replied in the other forum but in case you dont look here it is again
i think the rifles section is a better spot to put this than the misc section since its a question about a rifle

ACP8045,
The Remington 700 VS-LH uses the same barreled action as the 700P. The only difference is the stock and bolt arnt matte black and of course its left handed. Both are great choices.

depends what you use it for
i love my 700P and the VS is the same barreled action as i already mentioned
you can check remington's site but persoanlly i use my 700p for hunting and target shooting and its probably thier most accurate left handed model
savage, winchester, everyone else should have left handed models
im left handed but i shoot right handed so im not too knowldegable about this

I also responded on the other thread, but I will iinclude it on this one as well

The VS has a lock on the bolt that is not on the P version. There is no real functional difference just another part you have to keep track of. (the key)
