I am inthe market for another 1911. I am looking to get one in a different caliber than 45 acp. I was looking into both 400 CorBon as well as 10 mm.

Anyone have any thoughts on these two rounds? I don't know alot about either of them so I don't have a good basis on which route to go. I saw that both Kimber and Dan Wesson both make 10mm 1911's, and I was looking at possibly going with a Les Baer if I went the 400 COrBon route.

Any info would be appreciated.

I own a S&M 1006 in 10mm, which I really like a lot. I think the 10mm is a very good round and have been pleased with my pistol and caliber for many years. I've owned it for about 15 years I believe.

I have only shot 10mm several times, but from what I've seen and heard, they're a great round. Good choice on the platform, though, as far as I'm concerned, the 1911 feels better, shoots better(or as well), and looks as good as any other pistol out there.
