bought a hunting rifle from my step dad and I want to build it up a little but have no idea what kind of rifle it is. The only markings on the barrel are a serial number and 30-06.

any resources I could tap to figure it out?
by the way the serial number is 30192XX

Can you post a picture of the rifle?
Take it to a gun show, dealers there might be able to help you.

Maybe its an older 1903 or 1906 Goverment issue

well went out to shoot it today and noticed that under the scope rings there was an R and a N sticking out each side so must be remington just have to pull the rings off to rigure out wich model.

well its a rem 150 never heard of it so I'll be doing some internet searching. Any one else have one or know about them?
