Hello all, I'm new to the site and thought I'd take the oppritunity to introduce myself. I have been shooting all my life, went to the Army after high school and am now in the law enforcement field. I stumbled across this site a few months ago and have been hooked every since. Lots of good information and good strong opinions. I just ordered a Savage 10fp(308) to get started since I don't own any bolt guns (always been a semi-auto guy). I'll get it scoped (SS10x) and get to the range and start trying to get those 1 or less MOA groups that I hear so much about.

Welcome! I actually have spent quite a bit of time in Las Cruces and Ruidoso. Love to go camping, hiking and hunt in good 'ol NM. Kind of miss it now. Anyways, I'm looking into a Savage myself. Look forward to hear about your experiences with yours.
