I already had a Tikka t3x CTR in 6.5 and just got another Tikka CTR in 308, 20" barrel. Went to the range yesterday with my 12 year old son who has been showing some interest in learning how to shoot. It is pretty cool to see him paying attention, focussing and trying really hard to do his best. He has a 22LR with a viper scope 4-16. It might be overkilled but I thought that it would be a good way to get him to practice and learning about MOA, reticle and how to work a scope. Yesterday He shot both rifles at 100 yards, it was pretty cold at the range but he did a amazing job at concentrating and getting all setup. As you can tell I am very proud of him and if this keeps up, he will be so much better at shooting than his dad, and it is all good, Right?

Here is the result. 6.5 CM 143 ELD-x and 308 168 Federal SMK.

That's what it's all about, good job.

I'm looking at getting a Tikka Tac a1 in 6.5 soon. The quality and features for the price point can't be beat.
