Just started reloading 45s and they were flawless. As soon as I changed bullet heads they don’t feed at all. I can put the jammed in the chamber and it’ll fire no problem. I followed all the guidelines and it’s been a flop. What changed? The bullets are that different?

Cancel this post. Like a total dweeb I used the data on the Hodgdon site which says COL 1.200” which is completely WRONG. That’s where the problems began and stopped. Someone needs to call them and let them know that their data is terrible.

Usually, load 45 ACP to near max length...as long as it passes the 'plunk' test. And the 1.200" col is not wrong, it is just not for your bullet type, You should follow the bullet makers spec. I use Hodgdon for powder spec and never had a problem.
