I inherited this rifle and want to use it to hunt coyotes and other small predators. It has a hair trigger and we noticed some features (see attached images) moving parts on the trigger itself that we didn't understand. I'd guess they have something to do with external trigger pull adjustment but I don't know for sure or how they work if that's what they are. Can any of you fine folks let me know?

Your trigger looks like a Canjar style trigger. It should have a normal pull if it has not been set,2 to 5 lbs. If the trigger shoe has been moved forward it should let off at about 2 ounces. You can find instructions for the Canjar at Canjar Trigger Adjustment | PDF
