hey guys, just became a "member" and saw some nice stuff on ghillies. my question is, in Plaster's book, he swears by not having anything touch the barrel. i see some of the rifles are wrapped. any thoughts?

Just dont wrap the stock to the barrel. Did you read the article?

Some guys like to get cardboard or other flexable material and make a barrel shroud so the rifle ghillies dont touch the barrel. Kinda cheap but it works good...

MOST of the time, the light burlap will not affect the heavy barrels. Like I wrote in the article, when you wrap stock to barrel is when you run into problems. The best thing to do is test your own rifle. Thinner weight barrels will see a slight shift in impact.

Of course, the amount and application method of the burlap will also help determine how much, if any, shift there will be. On some rifles I have seen upwards of 1 MOA, but it is rare.
