OUCH!!!

well does this look like brass to you? looks more like steel something i dont think federal uses but this could be my imagination


is it a .300 WM case? cant really tell cause of the way its blown up but i suppose it is

dont know for sure though woudnlt rule out possabiltiy of bad round, gun or person handling it

i saw red marks
dont think its blood though
there would be a hell of a lot more if he was hurt bad
hope he didnt get hurt though

just the barrel is broken into 3 segments and the action is split in half
ive never seen anything like that before

I have seen a few pictures of Blaser 93's that have met similar fates, but the fact that the thing split even pieces like that is odd. Ones of the blasers the barrels were mostly intact but the action was splintered. The action on this one was slit right in half... amazing. The rear of the stock looks in tact, which I hope indicates the operator is okay.

Dang! I just saw this and quickly checked my Sako Syn/Stainless 300WM but my S/N is way earlier - 237000 series. I bought mine Jan 2004. Hopefully all okay.

In the pics you can see the point where the barrel failed from - it's probably just at the tip of the bullet as it's chambered. I wonder if there was a blockage?
