Avatars aren't an issue, restricted to about 80x80, say. Size and function wise that is, they wouldn't impair the boards.

Groups can be a bit of a hassle, but getting them done up would be interesting and perhaps helpful towards people new to the boards.

Just added Military Forum as a possibility... i think that would be cool. I could be Moderator of it... or some one else... or both. It would be a place to discuss general military things... anything relating to the Military. Not only Sniper's... but Grunts... POG's.... who ever and what ever! I think this will gather a larger field of people to become a member on the site as well... and also promote long range shooting to Military members who dont really have any experiance with this fine form of art yet.

In terms of avatars, I'm willing to turn them on, provided people can control themselves and not put up porno pictures or gotesque things. If that starts happening, I'll have to kill them. Is those acceptable terms?

Mel... SC.com would have Avatars to choose from correct? We would not have to provide our own? Like on leathernecks.com you can choose from a bunch of different things... ranging from a waving Flag to unit patchs and Ranks...

Not in a hurry or anything... i realise there are more important things for you to do. But... when do you think the Avatars will be up and running?

Okay, for right now you can only use avatars hosted from other locations. If there is enough interest, I may change it to allow uploading an avatar. For now, I wont be setting up an available list of avatars to chose from. Perhaps when I'm full time :wink:

Avatars are working!!! I just have to add my two hash marks next to my rank and make it fit within the 80X80 somehow!!! I will be setting up an SC Avatar page on my photobucket... if any one wants a USMC Rank as there Avatar just let me know what rank and ill post the link that you put in the avatar option. Possibly other Avatars will be available as well...

You can put your avator picture a lot bigger then 80x80 something has to be wrong. This can be a problem because some one already has a really big picture and all the posts get moved over to the right. I will leave my picture on till tomorrow so you can see what I am talking about. The picture awesome but as you can see it's just not going to work.

People should just pick small avatars... huge ones look rediculous and take up half the page. Look at mine for example...

Yes, I see where that is a problem. I checked the configuration and it is set to 80x80 limitation, BUT, I only think that applies to uploaded avatars, not remotely hosted ones, like I have enabled. So, it comes down to this, if you have a big avatar, I will go in and change your user account to have NO avatar... so keep it small.
