what scopes are suitable for 100 yards and engaging targets at 1000 yards?

I know IOR is one, but I'd like one with removeable turrets so that I Can custom order BDC turrets from kenton industries.

any others aside from US optics?

yeah, a good bit...

mueller will get you out to 1000. Leupold makes several. So does nikon.

It'll help a good bit if you tell us the caliber and the drop at 1000 yards so we can help you calculate it.

Yes, the caliber & loading is required, and also whether a canted base will be used.

For 308, I generally recommend at least 60 MOA if you plan to be able to go from 100 to 1000 using a 20 MOA canted base.

308 out of a 20 inch barrel. not sure of the precise drop.

I was looking at the Nightforce scopes with the 110 moa elevation and 80 moa windage.

The Nightforce 12-42x56 Benchrest was used by Kyle Brown to set the 1,000 yard world record group ( 10 shots at 4.22 inchs ). That is a good scope as well.

That is a bench rest scope though, if you want a "field" scope they make the 12-42x56 NXS which is just as good if not better from what i read on there website.

I think I'm going with the 3.5-15x scope. I've spoken with someone else concerning it and zeroing. He says it can be zeroed at 100 and shot out to 1000.

With 110 MOA of elevation, you will have no problems zeroing at 100 and 1000. You only need about 60 using a 20 MOA base.

60 MOA on windage will get you to 1000 yards in a nearly 30 mph crosswind either direction with the .308. If you can hit a target at 1000y in a 30 mph crosswind reliably, you are a better marksman than myself! :D

I've seen mel shoot thats not much of an accomplishment. LOL

Hell i've been known to drop deer at 1000 yards with buckshot in a hurricane.
