im lookin at the remington 700p, but i have a qustion.....................what is the difference between the long action and the short action model of this gun, i know they come in different calibers, but i dont know what length has to do with anything
i know this may sound stupid to most of you just bear with me
When looking at the rifles, the length of the action is dependent upon what caliber you order. If you buy a .308, it'll come with a short action, if you buy a .300 WM, it'll come with a long action. You really don't have a choice in the matter, unless you are building a custom rifle... then you could put a short caliber into a long action if you wished.
