I'm a machinist by trade, and a tinkerer. I also weld ( not so pretty sometimes ). I know we have a bunch of gunsmiths, both pro and amateur, on here as well as a lot of tradesmen and tinkerers. I always enjoy seeing other people's work, so show us some of your projects gun-related and otherwise. I'll start off.

I work for Delta Airlines, so I make a lot of parts and tooling.

1-5/8 wrench

Exhaust port covers for a Wright R-1820 display engine

Pressure test fitting for fire suppression nozzles

Some random bracket

Another fitting

A quick and nasty piece of tooling to use a 90-motor like a router

Also made a pair of muzzle brakes tinkering in a friends shop , clamp-on for my .300WinMag and threaded for my .308

I'm also an avid motorcyclist, and enjoy tinkering with my own as well as helping friends.

Bar riser for a friend's Aprilia Falco

Subframe parts for a friend's Ducati race bike

A billet clutch cover for my TL1000S

Master cylinder reservoir mount for the TLS

Two-position top case mount for my DL1000 V-Strom

Skid plate for the V-Strom

Caliper adapter bracket for my wife's HawkGT

Headlight mount plates for the Hawk

I also make ornamental stuff on occasion

Cake topper for our wedding

Matching titanium rings for my wife and me

Salt and pepper shakers for my mother-in-law

Christmas trees I make for family and friends

I made this for my son Karl's bedroom door

And, the thing I've made that I'm most proud of ( a work in progress... had a little help with this one too)

And a linear compensator....
Looks like a small suppressor but is hollow and only directs the sound forward. It does make it quieter for the shooter though.
