Okay, for all you cold weather shooters. Put the outside temperature on your target when you fire. I'll at least post the "coldest" of the cold bore shots on the site for everyone to see :D

farenheit or celcius? :? Just pullin your leg. Too bad there is a shooter from Alaska or I would be a shoe-in for coldest cold bore shot. Nothing like being prone in -30 to remind you you're alive.

Hope you have room in your inbox Mel bg PM en route.

Yeah, I mentioned that a few pages back (I can see why you missed it!). It is to be printed on 8.5x11". I figured some of you "shifty" types might try putting it on poster size paper or something

Okay I was just checking because when you bring it up its always at 125% on my computer. If I use a large format printer which I was thinking about using it will prit at "125%".

Alright, now if its postmarked by the 31 is it okay? I'm going to try to make it out ASAFP.

I'm excited about this match. Not because I'll win but because this might bring our SC community a little closer. 8) Yes thats good if were going to have a SC Members "only" area.

Well im posting my target off today. I shot it in blustery conditions and 36 degree C temps. Took me 100 shots to get 1 good target also I had to shoot the bloody thing at 100 metres thats 109.36yards :( I think I need bonus points as a handicap LOL

Yeah, we already said it was okay to shoot multiple targets. But these are some of the things we wanted to iron out with this first one. I'm just glad to hear it wasn't totally easy.

Sad news all.

I shot the match today...or at least tried to. Consider this as mailing in my target....

The Rhinos: 5
The Muzz : 0

Just too damned cold...Rifle froze up and so did I, ammo had ice forming on it, and my scope clicks were neither tactile nor audible...Had trouble keeping the rounds on paper....*sigh* I tried, bros.

Here's a few pics of my baby.

Better luck next time I suppose.

Word to anyone else shooting in -30. I know theres at least one Alaskan here. If your fingers have ANY moisture on them...Don't touch the rifle!

Muzz,

I would have thought that you would have known better than to try this in such temperatures! Cheer up though, the weather network says chance of just –2 by Saturday, so you can try again and still mail it out on Monday and be good to go. –2 is going to feel like a tropical vacation after the last couple of weeks…

Hey guys, dont think I will get to the range in time, if it has been warm enough, I have been working, or the rain has been pouring. The DNR range(which is closed till march, but I can use at times anyway) is under water, no kidding guys the lake is usally about 1100 acres, and it went to over 8000. They evacuated areas around it, and parts of town along the river below the dam. The CPD range has been tough to get on, SWAT keeps getting called out, and as you know we had a funeral on the one day. I am going try to arrange Monday, but we will see what happens. I am ready to kill some Rhinos. Even if I am late I will shoot the target and post it, and send it in to mel just for comparison sake not to compete.

Cannon, right you are, and I will be attempting it again! -10 here on Saturday but thats a heck of an improvement...T shirt weather! You would not believe the detailed cleaning that was required tonight. Scope clicks came back when she thawed but I have NO idea where it is zeroed now lol. But, I ain't givin up that easy I guess...Another attempt will be made.

Mark, too bad you won't be able to shoot, and I'm sorry you had such obligations. Please fire when you get the chance, I don't think I'm the only one who wants to see your target.

Dont count me out just yet, checking the weather for Monday, and calling Swat, might be albe to get on either over the weekend or on Monday. If so I will give it my best, and try to get some ammo testing done too.

I sent in a target, but it wasn't very good (I really wanted to re-shoot it, but had no time). Randy kicked my butt on 4 of 5 shots. He just ran into a bit of trouble with his last shot. Given how I did, I'm going to be truly disappointed in you guys if I finish anywhere in the top 5.

Mel I suggest that you post a .jpg of the winning target so we have something to look at for the next time.

I'm sitting in Vegas getting ready to go to the SHOT show and talk to some Barrel manufactuerers for Mel, and meet Ted Nuggent as well as the guys from HD rifles, GA Precision, and US Optics!!!!
