Hi guys,

I'm just wondering if you can post some sniper movie/video clips
here because that would be very interesting to watch. Like clips with sniper rifles on the shooting range, sniper training etc.

Sniper School

Currently running on Discovery Times channel (285 on DirecTv) is a documentary on the US Army Sniper School at Ft Benning Georgia. It's a pretty good and shows just how difficult sniper school is...about a 60% attrition rate. Next showing is on July 24th at 7:00pm eastern time. My hat is off to everyone who has made it through that course.

Those who browse the History Channel have most likely seen it, but they do have a four part series on Snipers. Most of it, of couse, is historical, but it is a very interesting series to watch because of the content.

The four 1 hour episodes include:

Historical background of Sniping
Famous Combat Snipers
Current British Sniper Training
Current USMC Sniper Training

I especially enojyed the British training segment highlighting several tests the sniper student must pass to be considered a sniper.

Well, thanks for the information but I was more thinking of sniper video/clips on the net that you could share with me. Like different sniper rifles being fired etc. that you can download. Hope you have some. My friend has a clip on the Barret being fired, and it's that kind of stuff I'm talking about. Doesn't anyone have a clip on the M40A1 being fired? because I just love that rifle...Indeed...Or if you can recommend a movie where it 's being used (read Not Sniper)?

umm i dunno if this is what ur talkin about, but on www.HKpro.com there are 2 videos.. one of the PSG 1 being fired and one of the MSG 90. there are other rifles/pistols, MP5, G- series 3,36,41 and UMP various pistols USP, VP70Z and others. sadly just HK guns.....

Iv seen a video of a drkonov(sp?) (im not great with german) fired at a actual size human head model at 100 that was suposed to be the same tensil strength and whatnot. Needless to say there wasnt much left of it.

I think you refering to a Dragunov. (It's a Russian rifle).

All sort of the same to me, Not much interested in learning a second language and couldnt remeber the country (bad memory). Anyhow, I thought band of brothers had a couple sniper clips in it, Unfortunitly i dont own the set so i cant clip them out or see if there are some.
