An elegant solution to the Rimfire question.
Hey, gang while I know many of you won't say this is an optimal solution here is my short range varmint rifle.
The Cooper Model 57 .17 HMR with a 3.2-17x44/58 ERGO EREK Lit MOA...
This combination perfored magnificently against ground squirrels out to 150 yards last summer in the Bitterroot Valley of South Western Montana. (Shown lower below)

My answer to the scope question is what my shooting partner was using and that is the low cost Burris Ballistic plex 3-9x Scope at a little over $225.
