Hi all

I have a CMMG ar 15 22LR conversion kit and a AA glock 17 22LR conversion. My CMMG has eaten pretty much any ammo I use, but the AA is very picky and only cycles with mini mag CCI.

My question is this, if I were to get a dedicated 22LR pistol or rifle is the only safe bet to get bolt action to use any ammo? I have a ton of CCI standard velocity and federal bulk. I just fear investing in a cool gun and then not working

I guess those conversion kit has problems with non-mag ammo. The dedicated 22LR firearms should not have any problem with other kinds of ammo. I do have CZ 22lr pistol and Ruger 10/22 semi-auto and those two won't discriminate ammos because all ammo matters.

Most 10/22’s will cycle most ammo. I have a batch of federal auto match that will not shoot in anything. About 2/10 fail to fire everything I own. CCI standard will even cycle my 4” suppressed 10/22 charger.

As far as actual pistols, I have two buck marks that I like and shoot almost exclusively standard velocity.

CCI Standard Velocity is one of my favorite 22 pistol loads. Great accuracy.
