Im looking to buy a Rem 700 SA to base my custom rile on. Im going to buy a Badger Ordance M4 floor metal so I dont need the BDL flormetal. So the question is is there any difference between BDL or ADL actions. Are ADL actions second best in Quality :?: What possible problems would I have in relation to magizine spring and follower :?:

Regards

AS far as I know, the only difference between the ADL and BDL is the fact that the BDL has the magazine floorplate that can be opened to eject unfired rounds, whereas the ADL doesn't, as it has an internal magazine. To unload the ADL you must chamber and extract each of the cartridges individually. However it is possible that there is more to it than that. The BDL actions, for the above reason, are considered of better quality. If you are planning to install your own aftermarket bottom metal, you might as well spend the extra money for the opening floorplate feature of the BDL.

Only real difference in the action between the 700ADL and the 700BDL is the finish on some of the ADL synthetic stock rifles is matte instead of polished blue. All else is the same. All Remington 700's share the same basic action with the variations being short or long action and type of finish. The rest is just what type of barrel and stock you put on it.
