Anyone know if the Tikka threads on a bbl/action are metric or standard? Also do you know of anyone that makes aftermarket stocks for the short action whitetail hunter or at least a stock than can be adapted? I really like the Tikka action, but the lack of aftermarket parts is a pain. I already have 2 and am thinking of a rebarrel job on the short action.

Sorry Ek, I do not know for sure, but would place my money on "metric" threads.

In terms of the stocks. McMillan has one stock they use for the older Tikka 65 action. I would give them a call and see if they are inletting any of their stocks for the T3

Eka,

I found that Richards Microfit does make them for the Short action.

Here is their tactical style

They say the Tikas are an 8 lead time. I would say from experience 12 weeks would be closer, but the stock are superbly inletted, requiring very little fitting, but the exterior will require a good bit of finishing. All in all though for the price it's good buy.
