Well, one of the things I've always tried to do with sc.com is keep the frills down, and the information content up. I have always tried to present as much information as possible and make it fairly easy to find.

But, looking at the main page recently, there is tons of information, but it appears hard to find. i.e., I think people that visit the site don't see where the forums section is, or where the sites FAQ is, etc etc.

So, here is a poll to see if I should take the time and actually develop a new look and feel for the site. I'm confident I can develop a nice clean and simple UI that presents the data to the viewer in a much better and easier to use manner.

I'm not sure that a whole-sale revamp is required, but if you want to rework it go for it - as long as it includes your nifty new logo (I'm nothing if not tenacious)

damn mel, make that logo!!! Im almost tempted to make up one for you just to appease jeff over there,lol. I actually like the layout as it is, but Itd be nice to see something new, mabye something set up with some simple tables and stuff. nothing major.

I voted no, but..........I think the main page could do with a re-vamp.

The forums are fine and so are some of the other areas but hey....Mel go for it if you want to, it's your creation.

yes, this was only for the main page. The forums will stay as is, in fact, I was thinking of making the main page more like my forums.... kind of a universal theme.

In terms of the logo, I think I have the logo, and I can integrate it with the site. Getting them on the rifles is possing a problem, I need a good engraver for reasonable price... I'm not sure I know enough about metal engraving to do it my self, though it sounds fun.

Try make more photographic on your front website.
If you need Flash animation show and I will be gladly to help you, but you need to have many high quality pictures to make things to happen. I do not expect a long project with your website. I just can give you some of flash work due to that I have a project to do for www.germantechnik.com to create their intro show.

I just started to work on my website but what you are going to see is my temporay website. I will make my website to full flash animation with high quality pictures with Jesus Christ's word. It will be about God's word, many nice high qaulity pictures, many flash intro show that I will create for anything, and things will appear more than what you will just expect.

Overall, your website is just a simple and sweet. It load fast on 56k and that's great! Keep it up!

Thanks for the offer! I appreciate it, and may take you up on it at some point. Though right now, I don't think I'm ready for flash. One of the focuses of my site has always been lots of data, with a few pictures where they help. I like to think that my page remains somewhat faithful to the original intent of the internet by offering the presentation of data and research. Of course, I'm probably just living in a dream world....

Its all fixed. While I was in there, I converted it to the new layout. I am slowly working throught he rifle review pages to get them to the new layout. They are fairly slow because I am doing some cleanup on them when I conver them over....
