the reason behind the topic is im currently on a massive undertaking... all or most WA2000s are owned by people (lets face it who would give one up) so i have decided to make a repleca of this wonderful rifle... if anyone is interested in either helping me or has any questions... fell free to PM me

i know on the V1 WA2000 with the cylinder for a flash supressor has a handle on the right side... when i looked at the closeup pics of the reciever... on this site... i didnt see it

I think it is further to the right of the pic, nearer the muzzle.

It is depicted in a James Bond film, the one where the bond girl plays the cello.

That would be The Living Daylights....

And the scene would be when Kara Milovy, played by Maryam D'Abo is about to shoot some VIP and Bond shoots he rifle with his fancy WA2000.... But I don't think you get a very good look at the rifle... :|

I am fairly sure you see Bond fondle with a magazine and cock the rifle before he shoots.

Do you think Walther made so few in order to achieve a high unit price, and a mythical sense of quality, or do you think they simply had little interest from the market?

had it been a little bit cheaper... and not had so many reliability problems... quite a few would have been sold. the bad reputation for reliability in the first modle tarnished the second one to the point that walther stopped making them.. they werent selling.
