what do you guys think of this as a sidearm for snipers.....? im talking about the standard P99 not the new QA version...

I like my .40 P99. Its a good gun. I don't like QA version though.....they took a decent double action gun and just made it shoot like a bad sigma.

I just fired about 300 rds through a P99 9mm tonight. I have no idea what it is called other than that. It is a pretty good little pistol. It felt great in my hand I liked the ergonomics of the grip, it is lightweight with a quality magazine, fast firing adn generally a lot of fun, but the magazine release is ridiculous. I mean I cannot beleive Walther would put their name on something with that kind of mechanism. I don't understand why they did it. It was very difficult to use. I am slowly working my way through every pistol at my range and I know I will probablly hear about this from others but I like a CZ and a custom Kimber both in 40 cal above all others.
