Favorite that I own, or have shot?

My all time favorite would probably be one of my model 70's. Because that is what I grew up hunting with. My Tactical rifles are extremely nice and all, dont get me wrong. But I will never like a rifle better than my grandfathers M70 which he left me.

In terms of favorite practical...

For the accuracy...

For the durability...

For it's kill count...

For it's service life of nearly 30 years...

For establishing the benchmark of the modern U.S. Military Sniper System...

And, because it's made in the USA...The M40 A1

M40A1 - shot it when I was in the USMC and own its civilian twin now. I also own a civilian version of the M40A3, but I still lean towards the M40A1 as my favorite.

I would have to say my favorite sniper rifle would be between the M40 A3(MARINES!) or the famous Springfield 03A3 (made into a sniper rifle by remington)

This is an easy one. It would have to be my old Red Ryder BB gun that I had a kid shooting everything from grasshoppers to birds and even a rabbit. But other than that it would have to be my dad's 7 mag that he passed down to me when he had to stop hunting. Then it would be my 25-06 just because IT"S MINE and it shoots like a dream.

Now where will this RUM fall in that list in the future?

My fav sniper rifle is probably the De Lisle Mark 2.

It is an internally silenced rifle with a universal scope mount, based on the remington action.

Second fav is you guessed it, the De lisle carbine... even though it uses open sights I still believe it to be a sniper rifle.
It shows amazing initiative.
The stock and action is that of a cut down Lee-Enfield, the barrel is that of the Tommy gun, the magazine is that of a colt .45. Only the sound suppressor is the new part really....

PGM Precision (FN in the US) Ultima Ratio Intervention
the very best one (for me  :D ) for all its qualities and because it was born in Switzerland (but made in France, nobody is perfect !)
I love mine...

The basic design of the PGM Ultima Ratio is from the french made rifle UNIQUE TGC from the former Manufacture d'Armes des Pyrénées Françaises (MAPF) in the south-west part of France...then french police RAID (Recherche Assistance Intervention Dissuasion) team (a sort of SWAT but with investigation abilities) wanted a new sharpshooter rifle so François URIA (from MAPF) associated with Gilles PAYEN to design the Ultima Ratio from the UNIQUE TGC system...the name "Ultima Ratio" was given by the RAID...it's from what was written on Louis XIV's canons "Ultima Ratio Regum" the last resort...it reminds that the using of firarms and a deadly force is the last resort for police....

The PGM firm was created to product this new rifle...french born and swiss made (not exactly because some barrels was made by Delcourt in Belgium...the first barrels on french RAID 's rifle was made by UNIQUE-MAPF , the current ones by Walther-Lothar...)

My favorite Sniper/Long Range rifle is SAKO TRG42 in .300WM with the new folding stock...

Wow, talk about tough choices!

Dragunov! Kidding, kidding...

Any of the remington family for me.

Sounds like a nice rifle Cody. My "not quite tactical rifle" right now is a model 70 Winchester in 300 wm that I slapped a bipod and a bushnell 10x40 mil dot on, and it just had a pro trigger job from the local smith. 1 moa ain't sniper accuracy, but its fun nonetheless.

Don't actually own a sniper rifle, but my

New Model 70 CFA in 7mm WSM is pretty cool.

It launches a 180 grain Berger VLD at about 2850. :) 3.2-17x44 Scope has Horus H-25 reticle.

Having shot the M40A3 technology for about three years now, I can see that there are massively better optical technologies out there, but the rifle itself is terrific.
