Ran across this at cabelas...is there sound theory behind this, or is it just one more product to make a profit off of?

These "resignators" are made for thin barreled hunting rifles that have alot of "Barrel Whip". Thick heavy barrels dont have this problem. They work very well on rifles and other weapons (i tried one out on a few machineguns since barrel whip seems to be a big problem with them as well) and it worked great... the M-249 SAW went from somthing that would spray a 20 round burst into a 55 gallon oil drum all over the place @ 100 yards to somthing that would put a 20 round burst within a 4 inch group @ 100 yards...

From what i read on the net about it... it works very well for those hunting rifles with thin barrels that have problems with barrel whip... allthough i dont imagine it would help any with a heavy barreled target / tactical rifle since the heavy barrels dont have problems with barrel whip.
