Hello! I'm just getting into the long range shooting game and I'm looking for a place to practice. I'd like a place with a range of at least 600 yards (more is better). I've been looking for a couple days but can't find anywhere that is public enough. There are a few places that are private but only have a 100 yard range. I live in Western North Carolina. Has anyone found a good place to shoot in this area?

Hawks Ridge in near North Wilkesboro goes to 1,000 yards.

It's in Laurens SC 100 miles from Asheville but it's an easy drive (I26) and the facility and staff are first rate. There is steel out to 1300 on the know distance range and a couple different unknown distance sections.
