This thread is for everyone to post their stories and pictures of their personally owned tac-ops rifles. As people have noticed, we seem to have a lot of tac-ops customers and supporters on these forums. So I made this thread a sticky so its always at the top.

So, what are you waiting for? If you have a tac-ops rifle, and some pics, feel free to post them here! As well as your stories, etc.

I will go ahead and get the ball rolling.

A number of years ago, I purchased a Bravo-51 from Tac-Ops. It is the main rifle image you see at the top of all these forums pages. Here is a picture of my exact rifle (though I put a leupold 10x M3 scope on it when I got it). It has a 22" tac-ops heavy contour barrel. Tac-Ops does not make many Bravo's, in fact, they were thinking of dropping it from their lineup until I bought one. This rifle has a funny history, as many of you know, I named my rifle Kate II, well, there was a NICS episode on TV that involved a sniper who killed an officer name "Kate". Well, they narrowed it down to a tac-ops rifle and determined it was the bravo-51 because the military kalled them "Kate" (obviously taken from my site). Anyway, the rifle has never had problems going sub .25 MOA with fed match. I also have a suppressor built for the rifle by tac-ops.

Here are a few pics

And now with the suppressor

And here is a picture of a group I shot with it

You may notice that the group is only .5"... well, thats because it was fired at 300 yards.

The McHale stock is my favorite stock, which is why I opted for the bravo-51. The Win Marksman stock is my 2nd favortie McMillan stock, and tac-ops is exploring adopting that stock as a standard offering. You can read about my bravo here: http://www.snipercentral.com/bravo51.htm

Well, last year, I purchased my 2nd tac-ops rifle. This time around, it was a green-hornet suppressed .22 LR. This rifle is amazing in a different way. read about it here:

And a picture

Notice that is an integral suppressor.

Anyway, I plan to get a 3rd tac-ops soon. You'll have to wait to see what model. Perhaps by the end of the year. Needless to say, I am a tac-ops mega fan. Wonderful rifles and even better customer service!!

hopefully this gets the ball rolling on this thread

A little tease from our favorite master gunsmith....

It's the little things that make me happy, and the detail in this is awesome.

I honestly could not be happier with it. I got my tracking number today, only a couple days and a wake up and my Tac-Ops cherry will be popped.

What do you think?

Forgot to mention, I am a professional Firefighter/Paramedic, and the IAFF is our national union, of which I am a very, very proud member.

That's really cool Medic. I just developed a new aspect of admiration for these guns and their builder.

I thought I would grab a few posts from some of the other threads and put them here.

Mike sent me these groups he shot with my Echo while he was certifying it. I'll let them speak for themselves....

This was the first group before zeroing the scope...

This one was with the scope dialed in a little better...

Can't wait to see what it does in the hands of a professional.....

And another thread

My X-Ray 51 is now here. I took it out to a local range to chrono it and check the zero. This rifle range was just re-opened in the last month or so and now only has bench or off hand shooting. We are trying to get that changed. The LE range is too far away from home for a day off.

Tac Ops X-Ray 51
20" Kreiger barrel
Nightforce 3.5-15x50 MLR reticle with sun shade

Fed GM 168g
2572, 2562, 2546, 2551, 2558 fps.

BH Match 168g
2620, 2580, 2605, 2615, 2608 fps.

***Best groups were with the Fed GM***

SO.....here goes an ignorant question.

How much coin does one run? I know, I know, not everyone will cost the same based on options I'm sure, but ballpark. I didn't see anything on their site in reference to price (I'm sure it was right in front of me).

It's 2 hours later...

I see no pictures...
I was on shift last night, so I couldn't take the pics. I just woke up, and its overcast outside, so as soon as the sun comes out, I'll get snaps of her....

Ok, here are some quick ones. I am not a good photographer, by any means. The rifle is absolutley brilliant. It's so perfect, it almost seems fake, if that makes any sense. I tried to catch some of the details on it, but its Africa hot outside, and I couldn't take it any longer. I'll get more pics later. Maybe at the range.... :D

I love how the bolt handle is extra long, it allows you to grip the gun a little more comfortable.

Mikes crown design. It look pretty sweet.

Sick of being limited to where you place your bi-pod? Mike lets you put it anywhere along the length of the rail!! And, he even took the time to alternate the Birdsong on the little pieces. Pretty cool.

My own little contribution to detail.......:D

More later....with a range report.

Wow!! Great photos! Man, those pics really highlight the attention to detail that tac-ops does. THAT is why I love them so much.

Sweet rig Medic, thanks for showing, and another master piece tac-ops, if you are listening

MEL
No Mel, thank you. You and this site introduced me to Tac-Ops, and I can't thank you enough. My wife wants to kill you, but she'll calm down in a couple of years.
