Resize 30-06 brass to 308???

Afriend told me this was possible if I just trim the cases - anyone ever try it? Seems like a lot of brass to reform to make it work, but I can have 1000 30-06 cases for free if I want...

Sounds like a deal to me. I will polish what I have from him so far, and let you know what the headstamp is.
