My Visit to TacOps and LASD SEB
As some of you know, I finally got around to going to the States. I got to finally meet with Mike Rescigno, Medic and SRTS1 , we all went out for a really nice dinner and had a great night. Everyone was so lovely and really really nice. We had a lot of laughs the food was great and the company was even better. Mike you are a true class act, SRTS1 you are such a nice down to earth sincere guy with a world of knowledge and Medic you are the funniest guy you crack me up bro my wife and I were in stitches with your comments, all of you get your butts down here to Aus!
Mike was the perfect host and pulled out all the stops for us. The next day, while my wife was shopping, Mike gave me the VIP tour and oh man WHAT A TOUR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After picking my tongue up off the floor from holding all those TacOps platforms including bosscj5 Tango (I wanted to take it home with me, well ok I wanted to take them all home with me), the Green Hornet, an Xray that is coming to Melbourne, a Supressed Beretta 9mm, a suppressed M4, a TacOps special 12gauge some AMAZING 45’s and many more (Pictures to come shortly) I was in the car with Mike on the way to Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Special Enforcement Bureau.
Before I get onto that let me just say that up until now I have never held or seen a TacOps rifle in real life even though I have one on the way. I will say this, as amazing as they look, as amazing as they shoot, as amazing as the reviews and customer testimonials are, nothing compares to actually seeing it and holding it in real life! I honestly can not wait to get mine, guys if you have not seen one or held one, before you buy your next platform, do whatever you can to get your hands on one and get some shots off if you can, you will be sold on it instantly! My wife who really knows nothing about rifles but loves to shoot was in awe of these platforms, she actually asked me in the car on the way home, how on earth did Mike learn to make rifles that good and that nice? Now she cant wait till I get either!
Ok back to the story………
Now this was amazing on a whole new level. Let me tell you from the moment I walked in the doors Mike was the man there. No shyt he really walks on water for those guys, it was VIP all the way. We got taken around the back and hung out with the SWAT and K9 units where they brang out the MP5 and MP5K for me to finger  [b/]. They then offered to put the bite suit on me and have the dogs do their thing but I wasn’t up for that! They took me through the armory where they have 26 Suppressed Tangos and many suppressed M4’s (no pics of this sorry guys). They have a bunch of TacOps stuff and I mean a BUNCH!!!! A N D they were all over Mike fighting for who is getting the next Tango and the entire K9 Division was all over him begging him to fit out all their MP5’s with supressors. It was an amazing thing to witness, these guys are hard core no bullshyt operators and as soon as Mike walked in they were like little boys asking their dads for the latest toy. I am telling you, unless you see it you wont get an understanding of how much respect and high regard they have for Mike and they really do go out of the way to do what they can for him which speaks volumes for Mikes character.
Then Mike really blew me away when he asked if I wanted to go up in the chopper and be flown around LA  . I couldn’t believe it and asked if that was even allowed? Mike said don’t worry about it would you like to go up? I said [censored] YES!!!!!!!! But there is no chopper here. He said give me one sec. He called an officer over and said can you get the chopper back here and take Danny for a fly over LA? I almost fell off my chair when I heard him say that. The guy said no worries got on the radio and called the chopper back in. Then to make it even more special we got driven to the helipad in the black unmarked suburban.
At this point I was beside myself! We took some photos and then I was strapped in to the back and we were in the air. Man!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a ride! They flew my all over LA, past Dodger Stadium around downtown LA and explained all the buildings to me, past the Hollywood Hills, and other parts of LA. I still cant believe it happened. They even gave me some merchandise, I was the happiest guy alive. As we were having lunch Medic got on the phone and didn’t believe Mike when he told him what he done for me so I got on the phone and explained it to him, he was speechless! He cant wait coz its his turn tomorrow. I don’t think he will get any sleep tonight.
I am telling you Mike is like a GOD there. They love him and pull out all the stops for him no questions asked, he walks in there and its like a celebrity walking into a public shopping centre, everyone knows him everyone goes out of the way to do what ever they can for him and accommodate him and I was lucky enough to be a beneficiary of that treatment.
Thank you so much Mike you truly are a gentleman and do go all our for your friends. It is evident in the amount of respect he commands and the amount of people he knows that go out of their way for him and these aren’t wannabes, this is the LASD! Las Angeles Sheriffs Department! The Elite of the Elite. These guys are real world hard core no [censored] operators who get anywhere between 270 to 340 call outs a year! This is the tactical real world community not a bunch of couch commando groupies here. Mike I love you brother thank you for everything and I only wish you come down to Australia and stay with us so we can try and return the favour.
More pictures to follow once I sort through them all so stay tuned guys. I am sure Medic will put pics of his tour up as well.
