They list their 155s as needing a 9 twist. That would make me a bit skeptical about you running 175s in a 9.25 twist. I'm not saying they won't shoot, but they will be less stable than something smaller. I don't have a vast amount of knowledge on this so if you know better then carry on sir.

The twist need is based on the length of the bullet not the wieght. The 175 gr will work well but 3000fps is probably not reachable in standard lenght barrel.

I personally like the Hornady SST 162 gr superperformance. Its obviously a factory load but it has served me very well!

I use 168gr Berger VLD's with 71.5gr of ADI AR2217. Average muzzle velocity is 3020fps out of a 27inch barrel. This load shoots 0.5moa any day of the week with a best of 0.35moa. At 1000yrds my elevation correction is 23minutes.

The slower powders are gonna be your friend, we have driven 175 smk over 3000 fps with all 4 powders over a chronograph. Start your load work up lower than these numbers and remember the lower the grain weight the faster the powder. You will develop pressure signs. All the best on your journey to nasty fast bullets!!!

My 7mm Rem Mag likes the Hornady ELD-M 162 grain bullets with a stout load of H1000. I use Federal GMM 210 primers with this load.
For the 175 grain ELD-X hunting bullets it likes 64.5 grains of 7828SCC using Federal GMM 215 primers.

THe ELD-X bullets have a stiffer jacket and can cause really high pressures unexpectedly, so start low and do not take the chance of
locking your bolt up by jumping to even book max loads with them. Can vary depending on what kind of chamber and throat was made
for your rifle too. I have also noted this to be the case but less so with the Sierra Matchkings in some rifles when people start too high.

I have a 7mm rem mag in a rem 700 also (the rem 700 long range). My barrel is 28 inches and has a 1 in 9.25 twist.

I have found the berger vld hunting 168 grains to be excellent for around the 1km mark. Chronographed these came in at 3100 fps. Loaded with 68.5 grains of H1000. this round is a real thumper.

The other load I use if I want something smaller is sierra matchking 150 grain bullets. Loading these with 59 grains of H4831 SC these only do 2800 fps but I've found this to be a nice mild load and I've tested it's effectiveness out to 500m.

I do have a box of 175 grain smk's, thought the box states for barrels with a 1 in 8.5 twist. I'd be curious to hear how you go with these as I havent tried mine as yet.

I'm a fan of 180 grain berger vld hunting and 195 grain berger eol. With 69 grains of retumbo I'm achieving 3060 and 3015 fps. That is with a 30 inch krieger barrel however.
