theres still debate about what their next release is but rumor has it,its gonna be a necker, which means itll be very affordable.

Very good way to get into scrapyard knives....you wont regret it. ill post up for you guys who have always wondered about the yard.

The knife that served me best was a cheap Air Force survival knife. Purchased it on post for under $20. Dyed the leather sheath black and put 550 cord on the handle. It was great because it took a lot of abuse and kept on going. Could cut some pretty big branches down to help camo the track.

Way back when I joined the army, I bought a kukri for if memory serves about 15 bucks. It served all over the world, survived jumps, including a combat jump into Panama. I also like the semi custom relentless blades, many have zone tempering.

my favorite and most impractical knife is the infidel. it has very little utility, but it has a lot of wow factor and it has a cool name.

oh and a safety tip: don't carry one in your pocket.

a friend of mine returned from a rotation in afghanistan and stabbed himself in the leg w/ his infidel in a 7-11 parking lot (within days of getting home).

he was/is fine (just needed a couple stitches).

Very much partial to my CRKT Kasper Large Models ! I was lucky enough to attend a small private class from Bob Kasper several years before he died and have carried them ever since. Recently I have been carrying Kelly McCanns Crucible (from Blackhawk) folders and fixed blades. No surpise I like them since Kelly and Bob are cast from the same mold.

My carry knife is a Camillus Cuda Maxx shown below. It is very thin and the blade makes a very loud snap to warn folks when the situation turns bad.

Even though it looks too long, the bowie blade measures 5.5"

My favorite is an O1 Glenn special, made by a friend of mine. I learned to pick my (very, very few) friends wisely. I'd trust this guy with my skin, and I trust the blade he made for me just the same.
As for EDC/folder, I just go with the best available, which, imho, is the Zero Tolerance 0220.

My favorite EDC is my small sebenza, great size, spectacular fit and finish, awesome steel. When I need something a bit more less refined when out on the job I carry an Emerson A-100 or Spyderco Para2. I'm certain the Sebenza would out perform and hold up to much more abuse then either but I'd be heart broken if I were ever to lose it.

I bought the zebra stripe ZT. Haven't taken it out of the box. I was debating whether I want to put it on my Tormek with the 4000 grit wheel. I haven't yet because of the curve in that blade.

The knife I use and abuse everyday is the Benchmade Mini Griptillian, spearpoint blade in D2, hard to find in D2, cabelas seems to have speced it out. I keep it razor sharp with my Wicked Edge sharpener.
