Yesterday I got out my TI-84+. After I found the cable, I loaded up the program (which took way longer than it needed to, mostly because my computer and I havn't been getting along too well lately). Its pretty user friendly, and easy to get the hang of.

Today I compared it to a number of other online ballistic calculators, all of which it came pretty close to. The results fall right between those provided by http://www.eskimo.com/~jbm/calculations/traj/traj.html and http://www.hornady.com/ballistics/ballistics_calculator.php. The only thing that looks wrong to me is the wind drift compensation that it provides (the calculations always fall way short of the other calculators).

It seems to work fine to me, but I'd still appreaciate it if one of you guys with more experience would take a look and let us know what you think.

Ti-89 now that's a complicated calculator!
I don't think you can load it on there to tell you the truth. it was designed for ti83 and 84 only.

I think I might work on a free version for your windows mobile device. Exbal is nice but its expensive. If all it is is a formula then it should be easy to program

I'm gonna give this one a try this weekend and see how it works. I went and picked up the link cable at staples today for 10 bucks. I'm excited at the prospect of having software with me at the range, since previously the best I could do was a printout prior to heading out. I'll report back and let you guys know.

I used this program for the first time this weekend and I must say I was impressed. It was quite the windy day and our calculations were spot on with the program. My rifle is zeroed at 100 yards and I was working off that zero and adjusting for 300 yard shots. The wind was blowing about 15mph and gusting higher. I will say this, Saturday was the first time as a shooter that I have attempted a 300 yard shot. I sent 20 shots down range and all 20 found the paper. 50% of the shots were grouped around 7 inches or so I can take a picture if you guys would like. This is by no means spectacular but I am also quite the novice and needless to say I was impressed.

Um, this thread is at least 5 years old. Why don't you tell us something about yourself and what you are looking for. Assuming, of course, that this is a real person I'm replying to.
