I was wondering if I could get some expert opinions from military vets, law enforcement sharp shooters, and professional marksman on the pros and cons associated with the Savage 10 BA .308 Win tactical rifle and what it has over other rifle manufactures such as Remington in their 700 model specifically, or is deficient in compared to the 700. Also the Savage 10 BA compared to other tactical rifle manufacturers as well.

I have the Savage 10 in .308 as well and like it a lot. It's very accurate and I bought it because it was a great deal. This said, many prefer the Rem. 700 action for it's said to be smoother and more adaptable to customizing. I have also recently heard very good things about the Howa rifles and that their action is said to be the smoothest of the three. What I don't like about the Savage is the OEM stock. But I've changed that out now. I'm also not a big fan of the acu-trigger that come with the Savage. "I" have problems with it.

My next rifle will be either the Howa or Rem 700 chambered in .260 Rem. I'll likely get a Krieger barrel for it, Timmy trigger and B &C or similar stock.
