The USMC M40A3 uses the Harris 6-9 swivel bipod with a podlock.

I know some guys in here prefer having a podlock if you get a swivel model to keep it stable, and others choose to go with a non-swivel type to keep costs down or just to have a stable platform with less parts. Even with a fixed-type, you can still make it rest flat on uneven ground by slightly extending one of the legs.

Since I have no experience of Harris bipod´s, all their models look very much alike to my unacustomed eyes... Guess I will find out moore the further i go with it....

US Army also use Harris ?!
