The Warbird (30 cal) and the 257 Scramjet resemble the following:
.30-378 Weatherby and the .257 STW. I agree with schmitty - pricey and no muzzle break does translate into heavy recoil on the Warbird. Factory ammo is very expensive and brass, although it is crap, is available for about $3.50 per case. Weatherby is under $2 and 7mm STW or 8mm Rem Mag Brass is way less than that. Lazzeroni did make a large investment in components, so getting it from them won't be too hard.
When you say just curious, are you thinking of buying one? A Weatherby in .30-378 or a rebarrel on a Model 70 or 700 for the .257 STW will be a much better route.
